It was another milestone for AIM ASIA when the Vocational Training Institute was launched in March 2012 at Gollaguddem, 25 miles northeast of Hyderabad.

Thirty students are now being trained in different trades. We aim at training the poor, High School dropouts so they can learn a skill to eke out a living. When they earn and become useful to the community, the community begins to change. It is all about developing a disenfranchised community.

This is what exactly is the vision in establishing Vocational Training Institute. Our Computer education, sewing and embroidery which were in operation for many years have now been brought under VTI administration.

Empowering Women

AIM ASIA runs sewing centers for the women in the slums. After 12 months of training in sewing and embroidery, the students are awarded a diploma.

These centers have trained hundreds of unemployed, slum women. Some of them have been able to run small businesses at home while others have found employment.

There is a huge need for sewing machines for the trainees to work independently and earn a living on their own after they graduate.
